About Claudio Gizzi

Claudio Gizzi is a Sicilian guitarist, composer, and session musician. He graduated with top honors from CPM Music Institute in Milan and has since built a solid career performing across multiple genres, including soul, R&B, jazz, and pop.

He has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Gaspare Costa (Antonella Ruggiero), Giuseppe Zito (Irene Fornaciari), and artists like Ekat Bork, Alex Calò, and Federico Bottino. His experience includes performing on major productions, such as The Voice on Costa Cruises, as well as working with the Brass Group Youth Orchestra, supporting artists like Mario Rosini (Sanremo Festival 2004 runner-up).

When he’s not performing, Claudio is passionate about teaching, arranging, and producing music. He also regularly plays in luxury hotels with his Duo, bringing a refined and soulful sound to exclusive venues.

Gear

Claudio is equipped with a diverse range of guitars, including a Fender Stratocaster élite 1982, Yamaha SA20200, Sure Classic S Antique, Godin AC Nylon and Taylor Guitar for acoustic performances, allowing him to adapt to any musical need as a session musician. His expertise extends to sound Guitar Classes and new creations where he skillfully blends digital and analog technologies. He primarily uses Quad Cortex digital systems for effects, complemented by VHT Freyette for a rich, authentic analog sound.

In his studio, which is based on a MAC operating system and uses Logic as the DAW, Claudio has the capability to produce, mix, and create high-quality soundscapes, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards.

Biography

Claudio began studying music theory and playing the clarinet at 12, later teaching himself guitar and immersing in pop/rock. At 15, he moved to Milan to attend CPM school, earning a scholarship and refining his skills.

Returning to Sicily, Claudio became a session musician, collaborating with Gaspare Costa and Giuseppe Zito. His career includes tours with renowned bands, performances at Idroscalo in Milan, contributing to Alex Calò’s “Inner Space” album, arranging Federico Bottino’s “Vicari,” and appearing on Gold TV in Rome.

In 2024, Claudio joined the Brass Group Youth Jazz Orchestra, played in Joe Castellano’s soul band, and became part of the Sicilian soul duo Wanderlust.

Claudio is available for Session Work in any genre and can play Rhythm or Solo parts. He is a good sight reader and a very experienced teacher with a proven track record for running successful masterclasses.
